Frequently Asked Questions

Which course should I take first?

If you're looking to develop a professional real estate photography workflow, I recommend starting with Professional Interior Photography. It establishes the core shooting techniques and principles that form the foundation of my other photography courses.

If you're already comfortable photographing interiors and specifically want to improve your post-processing, Expert Editing may be the better place to start. From there, you can expand into exterior photography, videography, business and marketing, or Architectural & Design Photography depending on your goals.

If you want the most comprehensive education, the Pro Photography Bundle and All Pro Bundle combine multiple courses at a significant savings.

Do I need to be an experienced real estate photographer to take these courses?

No. My courses are designed primarily for photographers who want to learn how to produce professional real estate photography. You don't need to be an established professional, but you should be comfortable with the basic operation of your camera.

The courses are also useful for photographers who are already working in real estate photography but want to improve their technique, efficiency, image quality, or business.

Do I need to take the courses in a specific order?

Not necessarily. Each course is designed to stand on its own, so you can choose courses based on the skills you want to develop.

However, if you're building your skills from the ground up, I generally recommend starting with Professional Interior Photography, followed by Expert Editing. You can then add Exterior Photography, Videography, and Business & Marketing as your needs and business develop.

The Architectural & Design Photography course is intended as a more advanced step for photographers who want to apply their skills to higher-end architectural and design work.

What makes these courses different from your free YouTube videos?

My YouTube channel contains free videos covering some techniques, equipment, editing methods, and business topics. But my courses go much further by providing structured, comprehensive instruction, designed to teach an entire workflow rather than simply answering individual questions. My courses also allow me to go into considerably more depth than is practical in a typical YouTube video. Most of my courses come with RAW files, and my courses are updated regularly as needed.

My goal isn't simply to tell you what settings to use or what buttons to press. I want you to understand "why" I make certain decisions and how to solve problems when conditions aren't ideal.

Do the courses cover the business side of real estate photography?

Yes. The Business & Marketing course focuses specifically on the business side of professional real estate photography, including attracting clients, marketing your services, developing client relationships, and building a sustainable photography business.

The photography courses focus on producing better images; the Business & Marketing course focuses on turning those skills into a business.

Can I purchase individual courses or do I have to buy a bundle?

You can purchase courses individually, allowing you to focus on the specific skills you want to develop.

If you want a more comprehensive education, several bundles combine courses at a lower overall cost than purchasing them individually. The Pro Photography Bundle is designed for photographers focused primarily on photography, while the All Pro Bundle provides the most comprehensive access to my professional real estate media courses.

Are the courses self-paced?

Yes. The courses are online and self-paced, so you can work through the lessons on your own schedule and return to the material whenever you need it.

What if I have questions while taking a course?

Each course includes opportunities to ask questions about the course material. My goal is for the courses to be practical resources you can return to as you develop your skills and encounter new challenges in your own work. I also offer a 50% discount for private Zoom sessions if you're enrolled in my courses.
